Game Type - Elimination TE (Tournament Edition) PS3

This game type is a real blast. This is Elimination but with rounds. The player starts each round with 3 lives. The round ends when there is one player left standing. Scores are evaluated after each round and compared to the Score Limit. If a player reaches the Score Limit that player wins the tournament. If not, the tournament continues to the next round. In addition, the tournament ends if the Time Limit is reached.

Players score points each round in the following ways: 5 Points for a 1st place finish in a round. 3 Points for a 2nd place finish in a round. 1 Point for a 3rd place finish in a round. 1 Point for a kill. -1 Point for a suicide.

When setting up a game with this game type, make sure to change the settings on the “Settings” page to your liking before starting. Settings: Goal Score(Score Limit): This sets the amount of points a player needs to win the tournament. Force Respawn: Set to “Yes” gives each player Full weapons and ammo, but no weapon pickups on the map. Set to “No” gives each player default weapon loadouts and weapon pickups are available on the map. EliminationTE game type always forces respawn regardless of what this is set to.

Anybody that joins a server running this game type will automatically download the game type to their PS3, just like a mutator. It will take a bit longer to download than a mutator because it is a larger file than a mutator. To run a server or play offline with this game type you need to download and install this mod to your PS3.

Bug: You will not be able to search for this game type among the servers online, but you can always invite your friends to join you in EliminationTE or get lucky and find a server that has EliminationTE running. When running a server online please indicate “EliminationTE” in the description to make it easier for players to find.

If you join a game that has already started you start as a spectator until the next round. When you loose all your lives you become a spectator. Below is a description of what some of the buttons do when you are spectator. R1: Camera goes to player in 1st place. R2: Camera goes to the next player that is alive with each press. L1: Changes camera to free mode.
